Situation Overview

Schiphol has an extensive network of destinations: as many as 317 metropolises can be reached directly. This is brought to the attention of international entrepreneurial Netherlands by means of Schiphol’s Go Multinational Campaign. Using an online platform specifically developed for this campaign, relevant business facts & figures for these metropolises are made available to entrepreneurs. TMG, in partnership with UM Studios, develops a plan designed to generate traffic to the online platform on the one hand and to inspire entrepreneurs with international ambitions on the other.

Dream prize

A key theme of the campaign is a dream prize for any entrepreneur working hard to create a distinct profile for him/herself and who wants to try his/her luck beyond the country’s borders. A temporary pop-up office in a foreign destination of choice awaits the winner.

Media Choice

Inspiring stories of entrepreneurs will be shared in an online special on from November 2014 to February 2015, inclusive. In addition, Telegraaf Video Media will portray three entrepreneurs. These videos receive many views and are frequently shared via various social channels. De Financiële Telegraaf (DFT) draws the attention of entrepreneurs to the possibility of participating in the competition by means of advertisements. Ultimately, over 100 entrepreneurs complete an extensive ‘pitch’ form. Traffic to the online special is promoted through means of various spots on and DFT Ondernemen, and by using relevant DFT newsletters, for example.

In the run-up to the finals, 5 finalists are portrayed. This is once again effected through means of Telegraaf Video Media video reporting, as well as articles in the online special. During the finals on 4 February, the finalists defend their motivation live in front of the Go Multinational jury. Tarique Arsiwalla of Protix Biosystems emerges as the winner and will be travelling to Santiago de Chile, Chile’s capital, in mid-May 2015. His stay will be recorded through means of video weblogs (vlogs) in the online special on that will temporarily return to specifically for this occasion.
